This keto air fried cauliflower recipe whips up crispy cauliflower, with a few basic ingredients, in minutes!

Basic ingredients

  • fresh cauliflower florets
    Use fresh cauliflower for best results. I used a yellow cauliflower that I found at the farmer's market.
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • Kosher salt

Optional Ingredients

I used a spice mix to give this recipe bold flavor. Use seasoning variations that work for you. You can choose to keep it simple or spice it up. Below are the seasonings that I used for this recipe along with some suggestions.

  • salt
  • black pepper
  • garlic powder
  • smoked paprika
  • chili powder
  • turmeric powder
    Turmeric is a popular spice used in Indian cuisine, making this taste more like Indian air fryer cauliflower
  • curry powder
  • onion powder
  • lime juice

Substitutions

  • Frozen cauliflower can be cooked in an air fryer, if fresh cauliflower isn't available.
  • Melted butter, avocado oil, or canola oil are fine substitutes for olive oil.
  • Olive oil cooking spray may also be used.

Cooking cauliflower in an air fryer results in crispy edges. Cooking time can vary depending on the air fryer model.

How to make air fried cauliflower

Step 1: Place cauliflower florets in a large bowl. Add olive oil and toss cauliflower florets to coat.

Step 2: Prepare the seasoning blend by mixing the spices together in a small bowl.

Step 3: Season cauliflower and toss to coat.

Step 4: Arrange cauliflower florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry cauliflower for 5 minutes at 400°F.

Step 5: Turn cauliflower over.

Do this for crispy cauliflower.

Step 6: Air fry for 5 more minutes at 400°F.

Serving suggestions

Serve air fryer cauliflower immediately, while nice and hot.

  • Serve with lemon wedges to add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice at the table
  • Top with Parmesan cheese
  • Serve with a tasty dipping sauce such as blue cheese or ranch dressing
  • Toss in a large mixing bowl with buffalo sauce
  • Serve as a side dish

Storage

Leftover cauliflower can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat by air frying for 1 minute.

How long does cauliflower last?

A whole head of raw cauliflower, in its packaging, can last up to a week in the fridge. Cut cauliflower florets are good for up to 3 days. Once cooked, store cauliflower in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Description

This keto air fried cauliflower recipe whips up crispy cauliflower, with a few basic ingredients, in minutes!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small head of fresh cauliflower, cut into florets (about 2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Place cauliflower florets in a large bowl. Add olive oil and toss cauliflower florets to coat.
  2. Prepare the seasoning blend by mixing the spices together in a small bowl.
  3. Season cauliflower and toss to coat.
  4. Arrange cauliflower florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a space between florets. Air fry cauliflower for 5 minutes at 400°F.
  5. Turn cauliflower over.
  6. Air fry for 5 more minutes at 400°F.

Notes

  • Seasonings are optional. Use any seasoning that you like.
  • Cook cauliflower until fork tender.
  • Use tongs to handle hot cauliflower.
