If you love fried eggs and like your eggs well done, make over hard eggs. The egg whites and egg yolks are completely cooked through.

I love runny yolks in my sunny side up eggs, but sometimes I enjoy a completely cooked yolk. These are perfect for breakfast sandwiches on the go since they don't make a mess.

  • Instead of butter, use olive oil, avocado oil or bacon grease

Instructions

Fried eggs over hard is an easy way to cook eggs without worrying about them being under cooked. An over hard egg is cooked completely on both sides.

How to make over hard eggs

Step 1: Heat pan. Add butter. Melt butter in a nonstick pan over medium heat.

Step 2: Add eggs.

Flip eggs when whites are no longer runny.

Step 3: Flip the eggs.

You can flip the eggs over hard, it's okay if the yolks break.

Step 4: Eggs are done when whites are completely opaque.

Season with freshly cracked black pepper. Serve with air fryer bacon for breakfast!

Description

If you love fried eggs and like your eggs well done, make over hard eggs. The egg whites and egg yolks are completely cooked through.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in pan over medium heat.
  2. Swirl melted butter to coat pan.
  3. Crack eggs into pan.
  4. Cook until whites are opaque.
  5. Flip over. You can flip the eggs over hard, it's okay if the yolks break.
  6. Cook until yolks are firm to touch, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
